Filip van Bergen
Legal partner
Filip now has more than fifteen years experience both in advising clients and providing assistance in national, European and international legal proceedings.
​
Filip graduated with honours as a Master of Law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel after his studies for a candidature degree at the University of Antwerp. He was admitted immediately afterwards to the Antwerp bar.
​
He subsequently obtained a diploma in business economics at the Antwerp Management School.
In addition, Filip was awarded the recognised certificate Le Français Juridique by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the Flemish Region.
​
He has been accepted as an arbitrator at the Arbitration Institute.
Filip is the editor of various legal contributions in a number of legal journals and regularly gives lectures to both lawyers and professionals working for SMEs.
​
In 2007-2008, he was responsible for internships at the Flemish conference of the Antwerp bar.
Since 2008, Filip has been a member of the executive board of Avocats Sans Frontières.

Filip speaks Dutch, French and English.
Rumi Salija
Lawyer
Rumi obtained her Master's degree in Law at the Free University of Brussels in 2020. Rumi followed an additional university education at Leiden University, where she obtained her diploma in Advanced LLM European and International Human Rights Law in 2021. Rumi then gained practical experience in 2021 at Allianz Benelux NV, where she was active as a Claims Specialist Occupational Accidents. After an internship at the European Commission, she joined Filip van Bergen's team in April 2022.

Alice Guiraud
Lawyer
Alice obtained her Master's degree in Criminology at KU Leuven in 2017. She then followed an additional university education in Law, also at KU Leuven. In 2022 Alice will graduate as a Master of Laws. As soon as this university education is completed, she will join the team of Filip van Bergen.
Helga Berghman
Legal executive
Helga has extensive experience and has been a legal practitioner since 1982.
