Filip van Bergen

Filip now has more than fifteen years experience both in advising clients and providing assistance in national, European and international legal proceedings.

Filip graduated with honours as a Master of Law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel after his studies for a candidature degree at the University of Antwerp. He was admitted immediately afterwards to the Antwerp bar.
​
He subsequently obtained a diploma in business economics at the Antwerp Management School.
In addition, Filip was awarded the recognised certificate Le Français Juridique by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the Flemish Region.
​
He has been accepted as an arbitrator at the Arbitration Institute.
Filip is the editor of various legal contributions in a number of legal journals and regularly gives lectures to both lawyers and professionals working for SMEs.
​
In 2007-2008, he was responsible for internships at the Flemish conference of the Antwerp bar.
Since 2008, Filip has been a member of the executive board of Avocats Sans Frontières.

Filip speaks Dutch, French and English.

Alec Reijntjes

Alec is a talented and passionate lawyer who obtained her Master of Laws from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Free University of Brussels). She earned her doctorate from the university with a master's thesis entitled "The lawyer's duty to inform and promote amicably in conflict resolution (Article 444, paragraph 2, of the Judicial Code)."During her studies, she gained court experience by assisting the clerk of the Court of First Instance.Alec broadened her legal knowledge by taking additional university courses in Business Administration (including statistics, accounting, and mathematics).After graduating, she joined Filip van Bergen's team. She handles national and international disputes and is a gifted litigator.
Niels Decrock

Niels obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Antwerp.
He joined Filip van Bergen's team as a legal assistant. He is an excellent office manager and provides both accurate administrative and legal support to the lawyers in Filip van Bergen's practice.
Xander Buylaert

Xander obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Antwerp.
He joined Filip van Bergen's team as a legal assistant. Xander is passionate about conducting thorough legal research (legislation, case law, and legal literature). He assists the lawyers in Filip van Bergen's program with administrative and legal matters.
